HERE to HERE World Tour Route Map

To see our real time progress map click here!

Our planned route takes us across Canada and the United States. We leave North Americal via Halifax, Nova Scotia after crating the bikes and shipping them to London, England. From London, we take a rare western detour to the Isle of Man to watch the famed Isle of Man TT. Then it’s off to Ireland, Scotland and Wales before ferrying the motorcycles to the continent. Once we’re there, we will zigzag across Europe spending time in France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland (where we hope to visit a Street Kids International project), Slovakia and Hungary. Continuing west then north, we will cross Ukraine, visiting Chernobyl, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia where we have family roots. Then it’s off to Russia with stops in St. Petersburg, Moscow and Samara before entering Kazakhstan where we hope to visit the Aral Sea. Following Kazakhstan, we return to Russia for a few days on our way to Mongolia. We will cross Mongolia, including sections of the Gobi Desert and will stop in Ulan Bator. Then we head north once again back into Russia for the final Asian component of the ride. We will stop in Vladivostok, Russia and ship the motorcycles to Vancouver where we will then saddle up and finish the ride from there. Our aim is to leave May 10 and return to Calgary, having traveled from ‘here to here’, in mid-September.

HEREtoHERE WORLD TOUR

Who is Street Kids International?

Street Kids International is a non-profit agency founded in Canada that is a global leader in developing and disseminating the strategies and tools needed to give street kids around the world the choices, skills, and opportunities to make a better life for themselves. We team with youth workers to develop locally relevant, innovative workshops using award winning animations that engage kids about sexual health, drug use and youth entrepreneurship. Having reached more than 2 million street kids in over 60 countries Street Kids International has been recognized by the United Nations as a Global Best practice leader in youth work.

The Here to Here World Tour has partnered with Street Kids International. Our goal is to tell the story of Street Kids International by motorcycling around the world and show that you can do challenging and incredible things, no matter what start you get in life.

C.J. and Dylan were raised in a single parent household in low-income housing. Fortunately the basics were always covered; food, shelter, clothing were never an issue for the brothers. However, there were few opportunities for them to ‘get ahead’ except for what they created for themselves. We believe that Street Kids International is the perfect organization to help youth in poverty to help themselves overcome their circumstance and lead incredible, successful lives.

Santosh

SANTOSH’S CRAFT SALES

Santosh is a 19-year old Nepali who has been on the streets since he was 7. Santosh was part of the first group of Nepali youth to participate in the Street Business Toolkit. Prior to the Street Kids training, he had been learning to make handicrafts out of recycled paper. Since completing the Toolkit, Santosh has used the case studies he learned to strategize about how to market his crafts. He is now off the street, living in shared accommodations. He feels strongly that other youth need the chance provided by Street Kids International and so he gives 20% of his profit back to youth programs. “It’s my business strategy”, says Santosh. Street Kids International will keep track of Santosh and the other kids who have been through the Toolkit and watch the choices they continue to make about their future.

Vision

To be the go-to world leader in building street kids’ ability, knowledge and community.

Mission

We advocate and deliver innovative programs, so effective that they are spontaneously adopted, adapted and shared by our worldwide network of partners.

Current projects

Street Kids International is currently training kids living in extreme poverty to be healthy entrepreneurs providing them with an income to improve their lives in: Bolivia, Ecuador, Ethiopia , Haiti, Kazakhstan, Kenya , India, Poland, Nepal , and Tanzania.
